New & I have a question.

Hey new here. I own a 2014 coachman clipper. I used to own a Forrest river pop up. I got the new camper in the fall and have not used it yet. My wife and I plan on doing some weekend trips but the trip we are waiting for is the weekend at the track. (NASCAR) here is my question. Can I or do they sell a receiver that can/will mount onto the rear of the clipper? I have a small generator and fuel can I would like to put on one of those hitch cargo carriers. We are towing the camper with a Jeep Liberty and are trying to maximize storage room. We got the generator right before we got the clipper so we have not used it yet. Thanks.

I would take it to a welding shop. They can make one from square tubing and weld it to the frame. But, it will probably void the warranty on the frame, if it is still in force.

Check camping world ..I bought one there that bolts on to the square bumper.. But make sure your bumper is strong enough to hold the weight of the generator..

Check the weight rating of the bumper. I wanted to do this myself but although the bumper could hold the weight the bumps I will encounter would cause damage to the welding as when you hit the bumps the weight is multiplied well over the rating. you will find yourself being pulled over or getting beeped at as you pull your genny across pavement....

I have heard of a mount that attaches to the tongue of a trailer for mounting a generator, and is sold at Camping world.
