New Cooktop

I have removed my Atwood cooktop/oven combo and want to replace it with just a cooktop. I have found some models by Atwood and Wedgewood. Has anyone done this before? I can't really find any definitive installation instructions or information on the actual cooktop.

Is this the correct model for just the cooktop? Atwood Mobile Products 52767

You can replace it with any model you wish. Your biggest concern is going to be the dimensions of the old cooktop and the new. If the new unit is smaller than the old, you're going to have a problem mounting it in the counter top.
As it is, plain stove tops normally mount in a hole in the counter top like the sink does, while stove/oven combos slide into the cabinet, requiring the counter top cutout to go all the way to the edge. What do you plan to do with the hole where the oven was?

We never use the oven so I am putting some drawers there which we really need.

The cook tops from Atwood look like slide-ins since the controls are on the front. Just need to dig for more information on them.

Some of the cook tops are for "notched counter" ?

Looks like a slide in is the way to go. Gas line hook up is even in the same place as the stove so that will be easy.

Excellent! Don't forget to pick up some leak detect (or make your own) to check your connection.

I myself would love to have an induction cooktop that fits in the space as I have never used the oven and never plan to. it would be a great place for space. We use the cooktop only and the nuwave fir oven cooking.
