New Decals

I have a 2007 Gulf Stream travel trailer and the decals are starting to fade and crack. Can these be replaced? If so by whom.

You could pay the dealer to do the job but it will be expensive as it takes a lot of time. But if you can get new ones you can also do it yourself. Use a heat gun and plastic scraper to remove the old ones, then follow that with Goo Gone.

IF, that's IF, you can get new ones, a paint shop would be best. RV repair shops can, but not all specialize in it.

I used to do vinyl signs and the best product for removing glue & wax that I've found is RapidPrep. They also make an application product called RapidTac that works great. If you can't find factory graphics any sign shop can make you custom graphics and should be able to color match what you have.

If you're not installing it yourself, a sign shop should be able to design and install any graphics you'd like.

Coincidentally, I met with a sign maker today for a work-related matter, and brought up the subject of RV graphics. They said they can make, or match, almost any graphic, and have a vinyl sign machine that can make decals four feet wide and forty feet long. The shop owner said that bigger machines can handle wider decals than the four feet he can handle. He's making custom door signs for our RV, and his prices are very reasonable. I'd be talking to the local sign shop!

Good luck with your project, and happy camping!
