Good morning all. I just have a few questions that I need some help answering. We just bought a lake lot that I will be putting a TT on. This trailer will not leave from the land. I will winterize it each year and probable put one of them canopy's over to help protect from the elements. The land already has electric to it that won't be an issue. What I am worried about it getting the black water pumped out and bringing in fresh water. Does any have a septic service do this? If not what are some other solutions besides going dry and running into town for a #2.....Thanks and good to meet all of you!!

FireMan15, welcome to iRV2.
If you don't have a well or municipal water, then you have no choice but to bring in water. I would think that bringing in anything more than drinking water would be a problem.
Porta potty companies can pump out your black tank.
Another possibility is a septic system with a drain field, or a large underground holding tank that wouldn't need pumping out too often.

Sure, lake water would work.
You could just pour some into the toilet bowl for each flush.
If you are going to put it in your trailer's fresh water tank, I'd add a little Clorox just to keep it sanitary.
If you think the lake water is clean enough, it could be used for showers.

What I think I might do is buy a 20 or 30 gallon water tank and just fill it up at home before heading out to the lake and fill up the fresh water tank on the camper. If I don't use all the water in the camper do I have to treat it at all?

If your water supply at home is chlorinated, you would be better off than if you had well water.
However, since the water in your trailer's tank may sitting for some time, I believe a little Clorox would be in order regardless of the source of the water.
It is much easier to keep the water tank clean than to deal with problems later on.
