I was Not paying enough attn. to the outside I was putting a tarp on the roof of the beast yesterday, doing a 6 point tie Well!! on the drivers side lower front corner I see this piece of black garbage bag stuck on the side removing it Guess what sure as$#@ here's the build tag . Now the guy that did it was smart think about it opaque no sun damage the tag is like new and I put a new piece right back with double face tape.
For those who might be curious. year 1991 length 27' light weight 4354 lbs. G.V.W.R. 7450 number of axles 2 and on and on.
Anyway to all those who responded I thank you and wish you all a very and SAFE! New Year and if I can help on the mech. or elec. give me a yell I have over 40 years in the Maintenance and elec. field

You are right, that is a pretty good idea to cover the build tag sticker in case the paperwork is gone.

Your case was a missing bill of sale, but I could see that covered build tag sticker being helpful if kids or grandkids were taking over a family rig as part of an estate.

My mom has a 1966 popup that is still titled and with tags, but my brother is the one keeping up the tags as my mom in no shape to deal with it - just going to the store is a challenge, much less dealing with DMV. It could be given to someone in the family easily as all the paperwork is in one place. But, if he wasn't there to do that, I would be at a loss to find her paperwork.
