The 253 is a "big" Joey. Mine is the little one = 196. Ours is similar layout, but without the slide or the sofa.
We recently completed a 4,000 mile, two week trip dragging the Joey. With a Reese Strait-Line dual-cam hitch, it towed like a dream. Plenty of room for two old folks and two dogs. The main modifications we made before the trip was add a reading light over the head of the bed, and replace the cheap mattress with a Serta EuroTop.
