Welcome and hope you find the right RV. We started out tent camping and then bought a 22' TT. We had lots of great times camping with our two sons.

When it comes to buying used...be careful, it is a "buyer beware" market when it come to purchasing a used RV. Lots of folks looking to dump one that needs lots of work. Here is a brief check list of things that are deal breakers.
1. Insist on new tires, especially if the tires are 4 years or older.
2. Airconditioner works (blows cold)
3. Refrigerator works
4. Water pump works
5. Roof doesn't leak
6. All window mechanisms work
7. All ceiling vents are open/close
8. Batteries are good (test)
9. Trailer brakes are operational (not frozen )
10. Hot water heater works
11. Microwave / convection oven works
12. Furnace works

As one newbie to another Welcome. My wife and I are re entering the camping scene but when are kids were young we had many great adventures traveling the west with a pop-up camper.

Have considered a pop up? I'm sure they have many more features than the one we had in the 80s.

Anyway I'm sure you will have a great time.
