new owner help!
Hi, I just bought a new 2016 prime time lacrosse from camping world and I have had multiple issues just trying to take ownership. But here is the main problem:
A tech left some screws laying on the floor in the kitchen area. Unknown to me, when I get home from buying it and run the slide out...the screws he left behind got caught under the slide and ripped a large chunk (bigger than my hand print) out of the beauflor vinyl floor in the kitchen. Now camping world says they want to patch it. I want a new camper.
My mindset is, I just dropped $34k in a new camper. Their tech messed it up and i don't know if I feel comfortable with a patch that is directly under the super slide. Keep in mind, I didn't have it in my possession an hour.
What are your thoughts? Any info would be helpful. I have a meeting with the gm of the store in the morning. Thanks

Good luck!
While I agree with you that when you buy a new RV it should be in new condition, I have strong doubts that they will replace it rather than repair it.
Any time service techs damage a unit, they generally just patch or fix the damage only.

If they can patch it to your satisfaction and agree that if there is any additional problem with the patch they will fix it at no cost that might be ok. (Get it in writing.)
Of course, if they have a new one on the lot just like yours, they could trade...

That's to bad, but because you bought it from CW me thinks it's to late to ask advice.
IMO you are lucky they agreed to patch the floor.
Sorry

We purchased our 2015 Grey Wolf from them about a year ago and the slide trim tore a gash in the vinyl floor. They agreed to try to replace the whole floor if Forrest River agreed. The original flooring was no longer in use, so they (with my permission ) agreed to patch it with excess material from under the bed. Till today, some 5 months later, we cannot tell where the patch is, even on my hands and knees !!! Time will tell !
I know there is a lot of Camping World bashing out there ( and probabley deserved )
but so far no problems with them, and have had a good service writer also !!!
Just Lucky I Guess

Thanks...that's the part that worries me..."time will tell" I just don't Know enough about it to know how big of an issue it is. I would hate after 4 years of ohio's summer/winter expanding and contracting floors, that the patch starts to seperate. And i should not have to worry about it with a new unit

I would say the best you can expect is to replace the whole floor. But, that was a option with us, that did not work out. To be honest, i'm happy with the patch, in that the factory install, with all the floor seems nicely caulked , i thought would be a known deal as abosed to them doing it.
As said Time Will Tell, but, we love our Grey Wolf 26RL

That's great news... Not what we always get when dealing with CW.
If you don't mind telling us, how did they resolve the problem?
