New RV owner Question

Just recently pruchased a Puma travel trailer and in the middle of a learning experience. I just finished winterizing and put on an Arco cover. My question is concerning the LED tv that I installed in the trailer a while back. Should I be concerned about the winter cold having an effect on the tv? I appreciate any info. This site has already helped me a lot. Thanks!! Bob

Hi Bob,

Welcome to the RV world. You do not mention where you are in North America. I live on the west coast near Vancouver, BC so cold weather is usually not a concern. A cold winter might see the temperature drop to 5 degrees below freezing, but not very often. These kind of temperatures are of no concern for electronics, only to the plumbing! However, if you live in an area were it gets well below zero, then removing the TV might be a consideration. It would depend on how much trouble it is to remove the TV.

Gets well below zero here in WI, Havw never removed anything from my mh's due to cold temps other than water.

I'd be more concerned about somebody breaking in to steal the TV than any effects the cold might have.
Don't know if you have drain spouts, but if so, did you put tennis balls on them?
