Hi there,

I might be a new/switched member to this forum this year as I'm selling my motorhome for a travel trailer possibly. With that said, "Hello".

I also wanted to get peoples thoughts and help in two areas, if possible;

1. What are your thoughts about the Prowler travel trailers?

2. Any specific areas I should be looking at while inspecting it? making sure everything is in good shape.

Prowler used to be made by Fleetwood, they were a similar to the Terry also made by Fleetwood. I think Prowler is made by Heartland now. I have not looked at a Prowler for years, still think "Fleetwood." I have looked at Heartland and I think they make a good product for the money. I have heard good things about customer satisfaction which is important, but I don't own one.

I think inspecting a trailer is like inspecting a motor home except a whole lot easier. Is Prowler still aluminum sided, if so you might want to look at a couple of posts I made regarding electrolysis, I learned a lot from those who responded.

Since Thor took Heartland over think again about customer service. They're very polite when you call but give you as little as possible - or nothing. They refused to replace the dinette seats and sofa with something better quality when they flattened after the 3rd or 4th long-weekend camping trip. The sofa and dinette seats are to look at only, not to use. The TT was still under warranty. And when the cheap Lippert axles bent and ruined all 4 tires in less than 3000 miles, they refused to be responsible in any way and pushed us off on Lippert. I wouldn't take another Heartland product for free.
