New Trailer Purchase Discount

My brother in law wants to purchase a new Lance travel trailer. What kind of discount can he expect to get off sticker price? No trade will be involved.

Thanks, Sammie

There are a few similar posts out here if you want to search, but most say at least 25-35% off. Do a quick google search for the same make and model to get a ballpark. For example, my MSRP on the 2013 Jayco 28BHBE was $31,999 so I thought I got a great deal at $24,000, which was 25% off. But, after I did some searches, $24,000 was the going rate at multiple dealers, so there might have been some manufacturer incentives. My great deal was not that great, so I probably should have talked them down some more. It's the end of the season, so I would expect the deals to be easier to come by now. Good luck!

New? meaning 2014 on the lot; or new meaning factory order of a 2015 ?
JMHO:
2014 New on the lot, if they are not advertising a huge discount already , if going with prearranged financing ( his bank ) not theirs. Start at -35% of sticker. If already discounted , figure what they have already marked down % wise and go in -15% on that.
Dealing on a factory order of a 2015 will be much harder. But he could try.

We paid about 75% of what they were asking on ours.

It's the "list price" that seems to change a lot! Check around to see what the same unit is selling for at other dealers and what their "list" price is. Then work from there. Mine had a $4000 manufacturer discount that didn't always show up at all dealers.
