Here’s the advice I wish I’d gotten when getting into RV’s:

No meter is going to be accurate without being in between the batteries and the load/charge.

The best meter I’ve found is the Victron BMV712 with Bluetooth.

What type of battery do you have? Does it say AGM on the side?

I suspect it’s a flooded lead acid battery then. A picture would be great.

Lots of options for solar. I get the idea a Casita and beach camping won't need a whole lot.

Here's an old post from the Cargo Trailer Conversions forum which includes a solar system on a smaller trailer. He links to a vendor in Oregon (happens to be a Zamp dealer too), that specializes in RVs, and DIY systems. Might be a good source to get education and a plan. Don't know anything about the vendor, but I like their site and approach.

There's another fellow on the site who uses a single 30 watt portable panel to run his basic 6X12 trailer with a single battery.
