Non-motorized slide?

I'm looking at a 2002 alumilite and the slide doesn't appear to have a switch inside but has pull handles and a manual locks on the outside of the camper is this common? Thanks all

I'm not sure how common it is, but I borrowed a buddy's Cub hybrid 23', and it was the same. The slide was pretty shallow, maybe 12"-18", but it made a difference in the living space. Less stuff to break that way ;-)

I had a 2000, West wind 5er with a 24" deep crank out, couch slide .
If you check the forums and look for the number of power slide issues, being reported daily, you will find a number of RVers who wish for a manual slide, or at least a usable manual back up.
I've read the instructions for manual deployment / retraction of my power slide, and it's something I'd never want to attempt.

You will find them on the smaller lighter unit as you can move the slide and that takes weight and cost off of the trailer.

Cool. After I saw the handles and manual locks I figured it wasn't powered. Witch like awnings id prefer. Unless they were kitchen slides then maybe not so much! Haha
