My trailer creates about 850 pounds of tongue weight. A few years ago I quit using the weight transfer bars because I installed a front hitch on the F250 for various uses. One of them is to carry about 175 pounds of tools in a toolbox installed on the front hitch's 2-inch receiver. That extra weight on the front compensates for what the weight-transfer bars would provide for me from the back. Works well for me.

I also have two friction-type anti-sway bars to eliminate the push/pull from those 18-wheeled madmen passing on the Interstate.
