Yes there are, but nobody buys a reg cab 2wd to tow a big trailer with and haul their family. Most all F150s are the Super Crew types with 2000-2200lb payloads in base XL trim. Add a higher trim level, some running boards, etc and you're in the 1500-1700lb range.

In order to get the 3200lb payload you have to order the Heavy Duty payload package. Very few ever order that. 99% of F150s are non HD trucks.

Maybe, just maybe, if the SUV was empty, and the trailer empty, they would fall within the allowable tow / and total weight for the SUV, but given how they are loaded up, the SUV looks like the front tires ready to come off the ground if the hitch doesn't act like a wheelie bar......

Scary stuff........ Be safe!
You mean like this?

I saw this at a dealer this week. That was the finished setup. They had been working on it when I got there and finished up before I left.

The guy in the tan shorts was the sales guy working with me on the PDI for my sons trailer. I told him that they needed to tilt the WDH down to get more lift. He said that his tech guys all say it's the Jeeps fault because they have soft rear springs. Just bag it or do a spring upgrade and it's be fine. He also said the guy was leaving shortly for California. Probably took longer than normal as he probably had to stop a lot to clean his shorts out.

Observations

That's just horrible and to know a dealer set this up and sent them on there way.

I remember when looking for a trailer and dealers told me you can tow this trailer. Which I knew was to heavy but they would try.

Took me a long time before I bought but was worth the wait to find the right trailer that fit our needs and our truck.

Thanks to lots of good info from this site.

Too many new folks coming into RVing and listening to inexperienced RV sales people. Hopefully they will learn quickly and get the right sized truck.

That is exactly what I was referring too......

I do hope they brought the slide in before they pulled out, but hey, why do that? If you leave it out you can even put more stuff in the trailer and it saves set up time too.

Notice how the trailer is listing to the left because the slide is out with no jacks? Then they will wonder why the slide doesn't work at some point when they twisted the frame opening / slide / slide mech. and blame the manufacturer for poor quality when they screwed it up. Just saying.......

Be safe!

Good Observation, that the slide was out ! That matters i whole lot when setting up to tow with the slide out ! Very few dealers would know how to to that !

Oldelevatorman.
Until I began searching and shopping a few years ago, I had no idea how many ultralight 5th wheels were available. If you can zoom the picture in, you can see the specs on 2013 rockwoods. Mine is the 8282ws. Mine is a little heavier, 7750 lbs dry, due to added options.

Here's the specs.
