Question for all you that have an onan 5500 generator .
1, how long does it last on a 30 pound tank?
2, how offten do you use it,and for how long?
3, did you put it in yourself, or did dealer put it in?

My previous trailer had an Onan 5500 LP generator but I had 40# cylinders. I could go about 20 hours on one cylinder. So a 30#'er would run a little less. I used it primarily at NASCAR races and ran it for about 3 hours at a time. Although a night boondocking is not out of the question. My current trailer has the same generator but gasoline powered.

BTW - if nobody has mentioned it, welcome to iRV2.com. We hope you make us a regular stop on your internet journey.
