I think a lock on the hitch is the best idea. Not much chance of a accidental tow by some one else and you know which is yours.

We were camping last summer in Colorado at a nice camp ground. We are all at the table inside playing cards about 8PM or so. The Dog was sitting on her favorite spot
by the front trailer door inside.

Some guy up 3 spots who had a trailer very close to ours open our trailer door thinking it his. He was greeted by my cattle dog nose to nose. Needless to say
he was very embarrassed.

We had a good laugh about it.
