I suggest a memory foam topper We also have a featherbed topper, but I like the memory foam best.

Bad Mattress Fix

We actually solved the bad mattress problem buy purchasing a queen memory foam mattress like you would use at home. We used an electric knife to cut the mattress to size without cutting through the last 2" of foam or the top mattress cover. Electric knife worked amazingly well and was easy to use. It now folds where it needs to and sleeps just as well as new. We did cover the exposed foam with fabric and because the original cover had a zipper (unexpected) we stitched around the cut zipper edges and used a little glue to keep the zipper from splitting. It has worked perfectly. Maybe this solution will help someone else.

Here's a 19 footer that really impressed me: 19 Foot Escape
It's all molded fiberglass so it will hold it's value well. It's quite narrow and the one I was in seemed a bit cramped, but for camping it would be very useful.

Speaking of room, I always wondered why the RV industry has never offered a Murphy-bed option for the main bed; especially in this trailer length. It would expand day-time floor space while still offering a solid, comfortable bed.
Our KZ dealer started to carry Rockwood TT and they had one with the Murphy-bed option. It was the only one that I ever saw but It did make a short TT feel a lot bigger then it was.
