Our $1 trailer

We had the opportunity to purchase our first travel trailer for $1. We knew it would be a project going into it and are very happy with the way it turned out!

My boys and I took it out for a "test" run last weekend and we will be taking it on a road trip from Boise, ID to Houston, TX next week. Here are some of our pictures from start to finish on this project.

Waiting for a new home...

Old carpet and upholstery

Desperate need of a deep clean

New floor, upholstery, mattress and window coverings

First trip out at Three Island Crossing in Glenns Ferry, ID

Only $1 to begin with, a couple grand now. Still better than retail.

You can really bring back to life some of those old rigs. I like the floorplan.

It is a 1996. We are relocating to the Houston area. Decided to RV down vs. the hotel route.

Buying it for $1 is great but the time shared with your boys fixing it is even better. Good job and good luck!
