Our New Wolf Is Home !!!!

Hello All

Finally pulled the trigger and signed the papers on our new 2015 Grey Wolf 26RL and pulled her home the 250 miles in rain and 2 multi hour traffic backups, a four hour trip took 7 hrs. She pulled very well, although we are pushing our max. tow weight. A real kicker is the best we got from our 1,000 pound lighter 2000 Keystone Springdale was 10.5-11 MPG, the Grey Wolf, at 60 we got 12-13 mpg, i guess that rounded nose does pay off. Will post some more pics. when i get them, if you all don't get bored !!!! we'er proud or new retirement present ( once it's paid for )

Don't forget the weight that will be added for things like cooking & eating utensils, food, clothing, etc.

Just want to add a plug here, although we bought or unit at Camping World. With
the suggestion of a fellow member we call United RV in Chatsworth Georgia an independent dealer, which i really would rather have done business with, was a good bit cheaper, but unfortunatly , did not have the older 2015 color interior the wife loved.

Just want to give them a plug, sounded like a great place to deal with !!!!!

So far everything is checking out fine, was disappointed it's not set up to easily winterize, i had to buy a kit that installs at the pump with a y valve, but no big deal to install.

They did a poor job of setting up the LDH hitch, so i had to re do it , so it should pull even better !!! Only 1 of the 2 20# propane tanks where filled , i was assured both where. many of the thing we where told during our walk thru was incorrect, lucky, for the better.

Will keep you all posted of any other things we find.

Some more pics. !!!

Looks like you are missing the HDTV... was the television an option?

We driveway-camped for 3 or 4 days before our first outing. Found a few little things that were nice to find at home rather than on the road.

Make sure you run the furnace for a while with the smoke detectors removed till all the crud is burned off. Mine took a good 20 minutes to clear. Vents and doors open.

A tv was not part of the deal, we have a 39" JVC comng , with a full motion mount that will fit there perfect.

There are a few interior cosmetic problems we have found, the worst some of the covering on the seam battens on the ceiling of the bedroom where it meets the wall peeled back a little, no biggy , too fix , son inlaw said take it back for them to fix, i say no, no telling what they screw up fixing it, I'l do it.

Yeah, you're better off fixing yourself.
