Outdoors RV Fixed TV antenna
Has anyone else noticed that the maximum stationary antenna doesn't have as good reception as the old crank up used on older rv's?

Mine got excellent reception in Utah. We got way more channels than the campground listed as being available. And this was at more than one campground too.

I've suspected that but since I have never been able to compare with a crank up, I don't really know. On our prior rig we had a crank up with a 3 ft riser and a "Jack" antenna. We were happy with that. I prefer to rotate my antenna to maximize the signal strength for the channel we are watching.
How's the weather way down there in Cascade?
Bob

Are you talking about this type?
I get 18 channels here at home, and we haven't been to a camp ground with any reception, yet.

Yes it works. with good signal its just fine, nice not to have to raise and adjust antenna.
I live at the edge of signal! My old crank up could get a couple station stations here, this one will not pick up anything. So the range in not as good.

The weather is about the same as yours! Will be leaving for the Olympic national park next week. Hope your recovery is doing well.

I'm doing ok, no more cane. It looks like you are ok as well. My Physical Terrorist killed our planned 2 week trip to Astoria so we are going to Boise for 5 days with the rig. Whoopie!!
Safe travels!

We switched to a Mohu Leaf 50 HD antenna. Very flat and can easily mount just inside a window on the signal side of the TT with some small suction cup hooks. It has a 50 mile range and has a better picture than the digital cable in the house. We get about 18 channels, give or take, and picked it up on Amazon for about $50.
