Parking on Rubber?
I found these at Lowes and wondered if they would make a good surface to park on? It says they are 100% recycled Rubber. I was on a concrete pad but now I've been moved to the grass/dirt.
Thanks,
Joe

I would be concerned with the weight of the tire in one spot making a low spot in the mat for water to sit under the tire.
I would use some thing solid like a 2x6 or 2x8 . Even these will sink in the ground over time unless some type of gravel base is down.

It's interesting, but why??
Not sure what this material would give you.

That is what I use to park my coach on.

TDI, I don't want my tires sitting in the dirt for months I'm not using the camper.
JimnLin - that is a good point. I might do both wood and those mats.

There are some anti fatigue mats that are also made of recycled rubber and have drain holes in them. While I don't use them for our 5er, do have them in my workshop for leg and foot relief. Mine came from Tractor Supply several years ago, are about 48" square. I've occasionally seen similar mats at Lowe's and Home Depot for about $25 each

FWIW not sure how long term your site is, but at home I park the camper on 8 x 16 x 4 inch cement blocks. I used 8 blocks on each side, makes a nice 16" wide ramp to park on & enough room for chocking the wheels. Low enough to drive on & high enough to provide drainage. Same as a concrete pad & they are easily removed if necessary. These are priced about $1.40 each, about $23 for everything.

Thanks I'll check those out. We only park at most two months, then move again. I'm just nuts about my tires. :-)
