Pending sofa upholstery nightmare

We have a 2012 Forest River Wildwood. We've had her out 5 times. The sofa is pilling, fraying in spots and the fabric is stretching. I sent pictures to our local Camping World warranty gal and she forwarded them on to Forest River.

They came back with an offer to replace the cushions. The cushions are attatched to the sofa. In the initial letter we offered to pay the difference of an upgrade to get a different fabric as the current fabric will continue to have the same issues.

How do you folks think I should deal with Forest River. Has anyone had an issue like this?

I thought about calling directly to the gentleman that makes the warranty decisions at Forest River. Would that be breaking the proverbial chain of command?

Kind of new to this warranty stuff.

If they just replace with the same the problem will continue. Is sofa fabric actually covered on your warranty? If so, good for you. I wouldn't hesitate to call anyone in the chain to get satisfaction. I've seen 10yr old RVs still with good fabrics so perhaps FR is installing the cheapest fabrics in their unit.
