Anyone installed Philips Hue lightstrips under their TT?

I haven't used the strips but I have several Ziggbee LED bulbs inside and out controlled by a Wink hub, it works great as long as I have WiFi access. I don't know if the Phillips hub requires internet to use them? Most devices today do! It doesn't make sense if you don't have WiFi with a working internet connection you can't even turn the lights on or off locally with your phone app. Maybe someone who has used the Phillips can tell you if they work without internet.

I haven't done it personally, but I would consider it. I've seen several in campgrounds who had the underbelly LEDs and it was pretty cool I must admit.

Two reasons for me
1-I like the subtle indirect lighting (vs light strip on the awning)
2-No fuss, low overhead lighting that I use every time we camp (vs christimas lights or rope lights that I put in the trees at our campsite)

FYI, before strip lights came out, i actually routed a rope light on the I-beam down the front and curb side of our 35' TT. I routed the plug close to the power pedestal and tucked it in the frame. When arriving at camp, the only work involved in having the lights was getting out the extension cord to plug them in to the pedestal.

The rope lights stayed in place using magnetic clips such as these.

Don't know anything about the Phillips Hue product, but have installed these light strips underneath my TT.

So far they work great and provide a soft light under the trailer. Have had several complements on the lighting effect.

I do turn them of when we go to bed at night.

Priciate you sharing this. Wondered how to mount the lights, sounds like a good idea. How far did you separate the mounting clips may I ask? That would give me an idea of how many packs are needed to secure the light strand should I undertake this project in the future.

Every couple feet in some areas. Up to 5' in others as the stairs or frame had members that provided support.

That’s a mod that people will either love or hate without anything in between.
