Picking up new TT tomorrow!

Picking up our first TT tomorrow!

We are both very excited to take it out for the first time! We bought a 2014 holiday rambler Alumalite 207DS. We have our pre delivery orientation at 10 am then we will spend the day setting it up and organizing it then planning on some driveway "camping" tomorrow night.

Can't wait!

Congratulations on you purchase.

I purchased a holiday rambler aluma-lite 187qb last year. We towed it just over 6000km. And had no major issues.

I hope you are as happy with yours. You are the only person besides me with one of the new Monaco units.

Awesome. It's very similar to our travel trailer. I know you will have a blast with it.

First night was pretty good. We did learn a few things:

1) Bed is way too hard! Picked up a memory foam pad today.
2) Furnace is pretty loud. It wakes you up during the night. Going to find a small space heater to use during the night.
3) Water pump vibrates causing the pipes to vibrate against the cabinet. I think a piece of foam will fix that.

Other than that everything worked as it should. Planning on heading out to an actual campground this weekend.

We don't run the furnace at night, we have a small electric heater but keep it set low. We never turn on the water pump unless we are going to use it and then shut it off afterwards. At campgrounds we don't turn it on at all as we are connected to their water supply.

I agree with the bed. After our first outing we went and bought a Serta mattress.

But we never found the heater that loud. But everyone is different.

As far as the water pump just make sure to shut it off when not using the water.

But glad you are enjoying it so far.

The pump will never run if not needed. Why shut it off. If it start by itself there is a leak that needs fixing.
We only shut the pump off while connected on city water.
Can shut it off while traveling in case something falls and opens a tap.

When the fresh water tank is near dry the pump is quiet and will run until it burns out . I recommend the pump should be turned off when not in use.

More than once the wife or kids used the last of the tank and did not detect the pump was still running.
