We attended the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta last month....what a sight seeing all those balloon in the air at once!
We were fortunate to be able to go up in a balloon during a mass ascension.

From one "pre-retired" couple to another - have fun! We'll be travelling from PA to NC for Thanksgiving and camping at Lake Reidsville.

Nice camper! Like the great vintage look you picked out. Hope you have a great Thanksgiving trip to the Carolina's!

Hi all, I travel almost every weekend for work and was missing a lot of family time. I bought this to take the wife and kids with me. We started out tenting and after about three weekends doing that I looked on Craigslist and found a 92 GulfStream the next town over. Got it home and realised I had no idea what I was doing. Nothing worked, one bed and a converted dinette/bed that never got remade into a table. Needed a bunch of work. After three weekends in the GulfStream I went shopping for this. It fits us pretty well and now the wife and I can have coffee at the table while the kiddos sleep in.

Winding Stair Mountain Campground

To get to the campground, there is a 1 mile long grade of 12% that will test the towing ability of your tow vehicle. A couple of times I was down to 15 mph in 1st gear (at 4,000 rpm).

Winding Stair Campground is on the Talimena Scenic Byway, Oklahoma Hwy 1 about 2 miles west of the intersection with US Hwy 259.

You can Google Map "Winding Stair Mountain, OK" to get the exact location.

Here is a good website for information:

Our 2011 Rockwood 8293SS. I've since upgraded my truck to the 2016 F-250 in my signature.
