You are talking used I am guessing.
Many 5th wheel guys spend a lot more on a hitch. Many 5th wheel hitches run over a grand and then if you add a cushioned or air type pinbox you get a lot of money spent.
I keep waiting to hear from someone who dislikes the ProPride. Maybe it's like a Mercedes Benz or a wife. You pay so much you darn well better like it.

The backing up thing doesn't worry me much. I'm pretty slick in that way. And I gotz cameras.

Both hitches are based on the same principles because the founder, Hensley sold the rights to Propride and they further developed the hitch. Both are good but the Popride is obviously the better newer version.

No one said that you are missing anything that important. The point is that all products go through an evolutionary process. When Hensley left the company he founded he started Propride to make further developments. You will find a Google search to be your best friend to do the research, if you're interested.

I would say the adjustable stinger for one. If you buy used you have to shell out $200+ for a stinger if the one you got with the used one won't work.

That is realistically about the only advantage of the pro pride. If you tow using different tow vehicles, or change trailers, you can adjust the PP to a different "mating" height, whereas with the HE, you will need to get a different stinger. We had a HE with our 27' Prowler and had absolutely NO sway. Had a blow out at 70 mph on the trailer and had a vertical oscillation, until stopped, but NO side to side. I wouldn't pull another TT without either the PP or the HE!

Are you the original owner?
It's my understanding that you have to pay for the new stinger if you're not the original owner.

Because the PP is so similar to the Hensley, I would also recommend reading "The Ultimate HAHA Guide" which is also on the Airstream forum. Has some good comments on hooking up.

Has anyone gotten a PP of HA to work with the Ford F150 Pro Backup Assist? If you have, what did you use for measurement 1 - license plate to center of the ball? Also can you post a pic of where you put the sticker?
