You Tube is a great "How To" source. It has many video's showing How to empty grey and black tanks.

I just saw one of these at Wal-Mart one day. I grabbed it for a few bucks.

If the grey tanks ever get full before we pull out and we need more room, I just run a hose (non-drinking water hose) off into the trees and dump some of it after dark. Not that the grey water will hurt anything, but some people might get their britches all up in a wad about it depending on where you are camping. Best to be discrete and not deal with them.

One reason your grey water tank might be so stinky, is that, as shown in the video above, someone might have possibly drained the black tank and the grey tank at the same time. If the grey possibly gets empty first, the black could spill over into it and get some junk in there.

It's illegal in some states to dump your grey water on or in the ground. But under the cover of darkness and in a pinch I probably would pull the valve a few seconds to get me through the night.

I know people who take advantage of the weather when it is raining.

Guess I'm a lucky hubby, wife can do everything if need be. We always share the set up and tear down, but if need be she knows how to do it all, jacks, slides, water, sewer, electric and hook up toad and drive away.

Take a 5 gallon bucket and drain some grey into and dump in toilet. That's my quick fix at CG if my grey tank gets full until I get to dump station.

And the bears do not smell the food particles that are probably in it.

I do the setup and teardown, ALL the dumping and connecting of televisions and cable TV and the awning lights and the wife keeps the inside clean and the outside neat. I also seem to always do the cooking too.....I should mention the trailer was my idea and we use her truck to pull it.

Since I have become disabled, my wife does all the outside "blue" jobs including dumping.

I set up the inside after a days travel.

My wife has the hardest, boniest little fists in Texas... and it's a big state... I'd get up and dump it!

My wife plays dumb when I talk about the trailer, you know the same why I play when it comes to laundry and the dishes! It's amazing, if you shrink one shirt "blouse" ,you never have to do laundry again.

Wonder what folks do with their outside shower water and what folks who tent camp do with their grey water.....
