Love the GSD. Great looking dog. We used to have one.
When she passed, we got Dobbies. Less hair. Great camp dogs.

I have towed our Minnie many miles with our VW Touareg TDI. Similar in size to the Durango. Worked great. But wind will push anything around, even my Ram 2500. Though a lot less.

We don't have a TV that came with the trailer so don't know if it makes a difference about the speakers, BUT, the TV's sound comes from it, and from the overhead speakers while using the DVD player.......very interesting....lol

I know there is a way to change the audio output settings on the TV that comes in the minnie. You may just have to play around with it.

Our Minnie came with a Jensen TV and a Jensen stereo. If yours did go back and follow the instructions in my post #14. The TV audio sounds far better coming from the overhead speakers than from the TV. You can also play the TV audio through the outside speakers using this method.

Mine is a 2013 and the Jensen stuff is of an older generation. I followed the steps, but it didn't work.

This may not help if yours is too old but maybe it will help someone else. The volume control is now on the stereo and Speaker A is selected.

My head unit did have an AUX setting, but not one called AUX 1 in. I had everything else set correctly.
Seems like I need to run another set of RCAs from the TV output to the the head unit input... if there is one.

I just checked on my stereo (head unit) and if I push AUX a second time I get AUX 2 displayed, obviously for another audio plugin. AUX is all you need. Take the 4 mounting screws out of the stereo and it will slip out so that you can check to see if you have the cables from the TV. Also, check to see if they are connected to the TV. Mine came with the cables in place. Of course, Winnebago didn't provide any instructions.

If I have any gripes about Winnebago it has to be that their Owners Manual is so non specific for my Minnie. Mostly worthless.

Mine works when using the DVD, but maybe I do need to take it out and look.

Your new trailer

JT
As you can tell from the trailer I brought home this month , I think you did the right thing. My wife and I , like you and yours, love the lighter color interior in the 2016 , and like you , I could have got a 2015 cheaper , but it was a no brainer once we saw the light color interior in the 2016. You bought a quality, great looking trailer that I don't think you will ever regret buying. plus I think you picked a great color. Enjoy.
