Pullrite slider hitch. Lubrication?

I've tried a lot of different lubes on the rails, but they all cake up after time. Is there some sort of lube that doesn't harden up after time?

Yes there is, AMSOIL MP Heavy Duty Metal Protector, works OK stays where put and doesn't attract dirt. I have tried this and AMSOIL 5th Wheel open gear compound. This stuff is sticky but works well also.5th wheel grease

Pullrite is recommending a lubricant called Slip Plate. You can get it from John Deere dealers under the part number TY6431.
