Refrigerator question

Our Norcold refrigerator has to be on "9" for the refrigerator box to be cold, the freezer is working fine. I recall that moving the wired connection on the fin could be moved to another fin and that might improve the performance.

Outside temps make little difference and refrigerator side of the trailer is in the shade. I know there have been a lot of posts on this subject.
Thanks

I suggest you look up your specific Norcold model and look for a troubleshooting guide. Another thing you can try is turn the refrigerator to maximum cool and unplug the thermistor. If it cools better, your thermistor needs replacing.

Thanks, now what is a "thermister", probably is in the trouble shooting guide, right?

Thank you

A thermistor is a special resistor that is sensitive to temperature. That's what is clipped on the fin in the refrigerator. When it goes bad, it effects cooling. By turning refrigerator to max and removing the thermistor, cooling should increase, showing the thermistor is bad.

What model Norcold do you have? Does it have fans?

Also are you on propane or electric with the issue? Does it improve if you switch from one to the other?
