Our 5th wheel (see signature) came with a built-in Dirt Devil central vacuum system. It's not bagless, but the bag is easily accessed in the Mobile Suite's dedicated service bay in the basement. I think I've only had to change bags twice since we bought the 5th wheel in August 2004. Suction power is pretty darned good for a compact central vac system.

I had an OEM central vaccuum in my 1983 Newell.

I was never really happy with it. About 3 years ago I removed the system. 2 years later we removed all carpet and replaced it with solid flooring, so don't miss not having a vaccuum.

we have an upright bagless now and with the dog that looses hair, it gets emptied every day,
thinking about making paint brushes from her hair

our basement is HUGE so space is ok.
have a great day

We had it in two of our MH's. We felt it was a waste - - carried a tank vacuum instead in both units.

We just purchased a 2006 Cedar Creek a month agon and it has the built in vac and I love it. It has the dust pan too so all you have to do is sweep the floor, flip the floor lever and out goes the dirt. I am very happy with it.

Count us in too. Our Cedar Creek has a Dirt Devil built in and it does fine for us. We've been to White Sands NM and it did the job real well (its a fine white powerdy sand and it pulled it right out of the carpet!)

I have a Cedar Creek and installed a Dirt Devil Central Vac after owning it for a year. I bought it from RVupgrades.com. The small 6" wide power broom head gets into all those small rv spaces like around the bed. The long hose that reaches both ends of my trailer and out to my truck is a great help. Good luck in your search.

We have a 2006 Cedar Creek Siverback on order and elected not to have vac system installed. Salesman told us not to. Dirt Devil bags for unit are hard to get. He told us just to use a portable vac. We have Oreck shoulder type that we will take along. Cheaper too.

yep we opted not to get the dirt devil when it was built, mainly because the dog food bowl sits right where the dust pan thing would go,
but that may change real soon.

thanks again for the replies, you make my decison that much easier
