removing carpet from slide out

I have read through the threads but can not fine any info on removing the carpet from the underside of the lip of the slide out. I have a 2001 Terry and the slide out remains above the main floor. I thought I could just rip it out from underneath but it isn't working. Can I use a flat tool to get it loose? Anyone with an answer it would be greatly appreciated.

Can't speak to your particular RV but I did recently have the carpet in a Winnebago motorhome removed and replaced with Allure vinyl. They moved the slide-out to a mid position, tilted it outward at the top, and removed the screws holding a metal strip under the leading edge of the slide floor which held the carpet. You might try that.

I moved my slide in about 6". Used a prybar to jack up slide, installed a block of 2x4. Next, used long shaft needle noze plyers and ripped most of it out. A 5" angle grinder blade and protective eyewear resolved the staple heads etc. For a complete set of photos of my carpet out and flooring in email me. Thebritinwa@gmail.com I will send a link to my dropbox file of that project, start to finish and tools I used.
