removing tub w/ seat

has anyone with a keystone or other removed the small tub with a seat and replaced it with just a shower pan? does anyone know if there is something under the seat that would prevent a shower pan being installed? thanks

It should be do able as long there is no wheel well or storage around where the seat is located just have to get a pan with the drain in the correct location and the same size

Look on the outside at the wheel well is it adjacent to the bathroom ? Usually the tubs with a seat are used because there is a wheel well there !

my husband took the front off today and the tub/seat is on a raised frame, we would have the redo the frame to sit the shower base in, but it can be done and so much more space. thanks to all for the responses.

Remember the carpenters first rule: Measure twice-cut once! Good luck with the conversion.
