Repair or replace?

I got a 99 Jayco Eagle TT pretty cheap and the roof seams/vents have a lot of places that are letting water in. Should I simply repair all the seams and seal the roof, or should I pull everything off and completely replace the membrane wood and all? The interior has sagging in the ceiling so k know it's getting wet. Any recommendations?

If you have a wet ceiling, I would open it up and plan on some serious effort to repair or replace insulation, decking, roofing, etc.

I recently rebuilt a 1967 vintage TT that had roof leakage and know very well the issues that result from roof leaks.

Just taking off the vents I've found the wood wet in spots and black, so I'm sure after I finally get the rubber roof off I'll have plenty of wood to replace.

If it were me... I would replace the entire roof and vents. Don't cut corners. Mould is not to be messed with. If it's black mould even worse. The spores will be circulating in the air continuously. What price do you put on your health??

Check out how much it would cost to replace. Check how much to buy one without this problem... and hassle. Weigh up the pros and cons and you will have your answer.

There could have been water getting inside the walls as well due to this. Check out everything you can, look for staining of the surface(s). It's better than losing your health to mold sickness.
Best of luck!
