Hi - While replacing a broken side window (thanks to the helpful folks here) my wife had the idea it would be nice to replace the window with one large window. The existing window has window slats in the middle that crank open and side windows that are fixed.

I am wondering if anyone has replaced such a window with one larger single glass window making for a more open and unobstructed view? The window measures 5' x 21". I am guessing I should turn to an RV junk yard to see if they have such a thing but I would like to get some thoughts from the folks here about the upsides/downsides and any suggestions on the replacement.

Thanks again for your insight and help.

You might contact Motion Windows: Series 1800 and ask them your question. They custom-make RV windows.

Think you will need a custom built window and be prepared to lay out BIG bucks

Glen try a salavage yard around Elkhart Indiana. They have thousands of obsolete windows the manufacturers no longer use. If you find a window, make sure you only pay for it when its delivered undamaged. Shipping companies do a poor job of shipping glass. Give them a small deposit only.
