Replacing banquette w/recliners
I have a 2016 Coleman 225QB w/slide out banquette. Took out for 1st time last week and wife's back suffered sitting on seats. Would like to remove banquette and replace w/recliners. I think 2 would fit fine. Harming resale? Weight a problem? Any input?

Banquette is the open bench seating around a dining table. Table drops down and makes "bed". Don't need the "bed", just us 2.

We thought the same, replacing it with table and chairs, but would loose to much storage place under the beach seats ! We don't eat there that much, and we have dual swivel chairs to watch tv and such. A rear living was #1 on my list for a new TT !

One of the great things about my TT is the YUGE amount of storage. No impact there. We eat on TV trays at home, so losing dining table is no loss. Just concerned about mod'ing a brand new TT & screwing it up, I guess.

1st year I had mine I removed the booth dinette and put a table and 2 chairs in place. I sold the booth dinette to a guy refurbing a truck camper. Next we yanked the POS rear sofa/bed out and put two recliners in. We on occasion swap the recliners to the slide and put the table and chairs at the rear to look out the big window. I had to make a piece of trim for one corner of the slide end and patch a couple holes from screws. You have to look hard to find them. If you plan on keeping your trailer for several years then just make it the way you want.
We been thinking of down sizing to a RBS floor plan TT. The floor pan with the front walk around queen, TV island at the end of the bed, rear bath and dinette slide out. We both hate booth dinettes so we would instantly yank it out and put two recliners in and just use TV trays for eating if we're eating inside. I say go for it.

We found the dinette very uncomfortable and I took it out. I took careful measurements and we went shopping for a couch. I think it turned out great and it is much more comfortable.

Ditto for us. We considered the table and chair option but the under dinette storage was appealing. Ours is a rear living floorplan as well. We mostly use the table for breakfast for us and the grandchildren when they come with us. The rest of our meals are normally done outside.

All... thanks for your input. Cumminsfan, if you're less than 6', the RBS floor plan sounds like mine, if taller, tough to get stretched out in the bed due to the divider. But bathroom is huge w/storage galore. Badlands Bob, sofa looks great, but not sure I have that much room. Maybe a love seat. Thanks again.

We took out the hide a bed couch and replaced with two recliners. I too like the extra storage under the dinette seats.
