Replacing Slide Bottom Seal

We found when driving in the rain that we were getting water on the floor, apparently from under the slide.

I think this is the reason:




There is similar wear at the rear of the slide. I have a replacement wiper for the bottom of the slide. My plan is to replace the wiper and then keep the old piece to use for repairs if we catch the issue again in the middle of a trip.

I've put a piece of tape under the metal trim at each screw and indend to line up the replacement rubber wiper with the tape and then line up the bottom of the trim to the same spot. There are lines on the tape to mark the hole center line.

Does anyone have any tips for doing this - also for preventing the wiper from wearing quickly?
