Reviews on My Trailer?

Hey guys.

I am purchasing a 2004 Wilderness 27ft TT Tomorow as a mostly stationary, with the possibility of moving it in the future home. It's in good condition with only a few things that need worked on for a good price. (Cheap College Student)

Age: 2004
Wilderness WildWood 27ft
Price: 4k.
Things that need done:
Fix Pin Hole Leak. Minor Soft Spot at lower wall. Not Structual.

Things I will be doing on any trailer I get just so I know when it was last done:

Redo Side Putty Tape.
Possibly even putty tape the windows again. May just cauke the windows with non-leveling cauke.
Cauke Roof where needed with Self-Leveling Cauke.
(General Maintence)

Question: What do you think of the deal? and the trailer itself. Am I smart for aiming for a newer unit despite my fear for the year being around the same time the market crash accured?

The trailer is a solid trailer. Everything works. It's clean. Floors Are Solid. Tires are good.

(Quality Controll)

I was going to try a provide the "book value" to you. However, without a model # I was not able to look at any of the used RV sites to find this info. You might try NADA, KELLY BLUEBOOK, or Google "Used RV values". This may be your best source for the true value and answer your questions. If you cannot find any info, you will need to simply evaluate what this RV is worth to YOU and go from there! Good luck.

NADA has a couple 27' trailers and several 26' and 28' models but without an actual model number it could be a few feet on either side. Having said that the retail prices seem to be between $5000.00 and $7000.00

Let's hope that the pinhole leak is not more serious. Usually when it becomes evident that there is a leak the extent of the damage can be much greater than you think. Who knows what it will cost to repair. I would pay less as a result.

Hey guys!

Sorry for the delay. It's been crazy. So we bought the tt, and towed it home. Everything works in regards to breaks, lights, etc. which we were extremely happy about. The previous guy was not sure about the traveling lights.

Upon cleaning the interior, I am also pleasantly surprised at how well it has help up to the strands of time. The leak damage isn't bad. We are toying with the idea of just putting something in front of the soft spot so no one even knows it's there. (You can't tell its there unless you reach down and touch it.)

Floors solid. Woot!

And when it rained a dickins. No water leakage that we could see it feel.

I also just got my supplies in the mail to work on the trailers seals. Which should be fun...since My handy work tends to be a little crappy.

I will get photos as soon as possible. Probably on another thread since I am doing some renovation to her. Also, videos of the work being done.

Regards to price: I figured out how to check the nada site. We bought her for way under the listing price. I just don't know what to look out for with this brand/age/type of trailer.

I probably jinxed myself....I found a different spot in the very front that needs tending too. -.- it's a little more than patching interior wood and sealing.

-frustrated already-

Yes water damage is any RV's enemy. Making sure "every" caulked seam is water-proof. I check my roof 3-4 times a year on my hands and knees. Otherwise $4k seems like a good price.
