Make very sure the drop-down shelf that covers the systems controls (under the television) is securely latched in place before operating the slide out. I've had two come in the shelf came unlatched and got mangled up by the slide. A permanent solution is to reverse the top and bottom, so the hinges are at the top. It means you don't really have a shelf anymore, but a cover, but you'll never have to worry about getting it torn off the wall, either.
