Roof paint?

We have a 15 year old SunnyBrook TT getting ready to sell. While cleaning the roof it was noted the white substance was coming off leaving the black rubber material. The rubber is in great condition so wondering if anyone has painted their roof and what was the outcome? With what?

Thanks for the info. We found another brand @ $50+ per gallon which seemed VERY expensive and req'd at least 5 gal!!
This elastek seems the way to go.....
