Roof Rails

What are roof rails spouse to hold. I would worry about rubbing on the rubber roof if i put lawn chairs or anything else on the roof. Does anybody use them ?

Use mine as a hand hold to get on the roof from the ladder.
I don't carry anything on the rubber roof.
JMHO: You should not carry anything up there.

They are about as useful as the plastic bumpers on cars. They are for looks. You are right the rubber roof is not designed to carry objects on.
