Rv fridge running on gas

When running the fridge on propane is it normal for it to stay lit at all times?

Really depends on WHICH fridge it is

Some have flame stay on when MAX temp setting is used
Some the flame will stay on if temp sensor is bad
Some have a bypass flame that stays on

W/O Brand/Model of fridge ---hard to say if flame staying on is an issue or not

So what Brand/Model is the fridge?

Everytime I walk past my refrigerator it seems like the flame is on. But then I never really thought about it. Maybe it does, mayne it doesn't. But then the temperature setting is on maximum setting so I suppose it does stay on all the time.

Any yes, I thought it was going to be another driving with refrigerator on gas thread also (we do drive with it on).

Smaller (older) cabinet models with thermostat set to MAX flame will stay ON

Standard 2 door/4 door models....NO
Flame should cycle On/Off unless thermistor is bad...fridge is in 'Backup Operation',
flue/flue baffle is dirty and not transferring heat OR cooling unit is dying due to obstruction/airflow--draft is lacking

Typically a full size rv absorption fridge 'heat' source (electric or propane) SHOULD cycle

I used to have a 6 cu ft Norcold fridge (has been replaced by a residential) and I can distinctly recall hearing the burner lighting when everything else was quiet.
