Hi everyone and welcome to America and the Right to BA. I say most people exercising theirs rights and have no reason to handle theirs except to get dressed in the morning (afternoon for some) and retiring for the evening. IMO there's no other reason to handle it your not at your Home base.
Sorry for some of the missed words but I believe most get it. Let's not get into labeling we're on the edge I believe of the forum rules.
Happy Trails my fellow campers and be safe

Home base is wherever I am. If you don't have your weapon, it cannot protect you. Criminals don't just come to your front door to commit a crime there and there alone.

In Canada because "restricted" firearms laws aren't the same as the USA, Winchester Defender is my last line of defence. Although I have more concern about nosy four legged creatures up here than two legged ones.

Never leave home without it. You can decide if it is alcohol or firearms.

I carry ALWAYS.
I have kids so on my person is the safest place for my firearm.
As far as alcohol, what's in my camping space is my business. The campground rules are to discourage public drunkenness and open containers, which I agree with 100%.

I know the Southeast Regional Chief Ranger for the NPS. I have spoken with him about the subject of firearms in National Parks, campgrounds and buildings. Basically, if you have a CCW, no problem.

HOWEVER, I have seen a local ranger at a COE campground come down hard on a family who's kids were running around shooting Airsoft guns. Rightly so. They left hundreds of neon colord plastic BBs all over the campground. ALL projectiles are technically banned.

I hope no one ever has to know if I have a concealed permit or not. My first choice is an assault shotgun (pistol grip stock) because it makes a recognizable sound when loading and hopefully would give second thoughts to any bad guy.

RayJr ... no problem. You can park beside my rig anytime. We'd make a good team.

In some states chambering a round is considered "Intent", not good on your part, ALWAYS have a round RTG, I can almost guarantee the other person does....
