RV / Guns ?

This may be a too sensitive topic for some, sorry if it offends, just curious, but it came up at work when discussion rules at Public/State/ Coe Campgrounds, no alcohol, no firearms.

My answer, what trailer does not have a cooler of beer, mine does, i don't get polluted and go around acting like an as!!!!!!!!!!,just some beers around the fire ring.

Now the other part, yes my RV has a firearm in it, a 380 compact semi-auto, it stays there beside the bed, in the draw , no kids, just me and the wife.

How many of you carry in your RV ????????

Don't be sorry your entitled to your thoughts . Beer yes its always in the fridge in the rv and as far as firearms I will never tell that's a chance the bad guy will have to take. All I can say is the locks on the door are not to protect me but to prevent the bad guy from meeting his maker.

I carry concealed where possible. I have something like 32 states I can carry in legally. For the rest I have it in the truck with me following state laws. When camping... always with me unless laws forbid it. A would-be attacker would have to hope I obey those laws.

I always have beer/whiskey in my trailer just like at home. No different. A responsible gun owner will have stowed his weapon before consuming any alcohol.

Not saying one way or the other on if I carry. BUT, . . . I found an Android App for CCW reciprocity states. A lot of information on this app. 'CCW' from: Workman Consulting, on Google play. Updates as laws change. If you do carry in your vehicle, it is still touchy traveling through non agreement states. In some non agreements states, even if your gun is in a safe, you could still get in hot water for just having it in your vehicle.

Personally I am far more concerned that some "cowboy" will accidentally discharge his weapon in his nearby RV and sent a round whistling through the side of my coach than I am with my "right" to keep a 380 compact semi-auto in a drawer beside the bed.

Looked at the map provided by critter210. Just about impossible to cruise across our country with a handgun and not violate some states law. I do have a concealed carry in my state, and I'd sure like to take a had gun with me, but just too many different state rules. Since your coach is your home, perhaps different rules do apply.

What you can do, and what I actually did, was obtain permits in more than one state and obtain reciprocity in most states by doing so. I have permits in Mn, Fl, and Utah. Between them they cover the rest of the legal CCW states.

Yeah, because there are so many more shootings by the so cowboys than lets say Chicago.

You should probably get some stats, than to say something so off the wall
