There are quite a few people that have put a Sleep Number bed in their RV. Because you can changer the firmness on one side, it can easily be adjusted for individual comfort.

We pulled out our inner spring mattress and put this one in. We LOVE it.

Of course you'll need to select the size for your bed.

We don't like Sleep Number mattresses. The divider in the middle is irritating and we don't really like the way they feel. Also, you may have to deflate it if you are going up in altitude.

But, it's a personal preference thing. We have friends that love their Sleep Number mattress.

Thanks on that ! But how firm is memory foam ? I toss around a lot, and don't like being molded in one position ? That mattress is great price !

Thanks

Hi Jim. Good to see u back. Memory foam gets warm too. We put a foam topper on our mattress and it works well for me. I toss around lots too(bad shoulders) and it doesn't seem to hold me in one spot. Was told there are ones now that have gel? in them to help cool them.

Costco is your friend. They have great mattresses at good prices. Go in flop it down on the cement floor and try it out. We have one in our trailer and it is very comfortable. I like a firmer mattress and like it.

The foam is firm. If you look at the pictures in the Amazon link I sent, there's 5" of firm foam, 2" of a softer foam, then 3" of memory foam in these. It isn't a solid block of memory foam that you sink down into.

Read the reviews too. Lots of info there, 3416 reviews.

Check out a "Cool Gel" memory foam mattress. Amazon sells them in a RV queen size. They are not as hot as a normal memory foam mattress as they breath. You can get them in various thickness's from 8" to 10". Cost is usually under $300. Foam mattress's are not one kind of foam for the entire thickness. They are usually layered with a couple different densities to give you the best comfort.

I bought the memory form from amazon and have not regretted it, a year later. I had the dealers take the spring mattress of pain out when I bought and put a 10 inch memory foam in its place. I am 230 at 6 foot, retired military, airborne, with major joint pain. I can roll over fine, the bed keeps me comfortable. It is just myself most time with my dog but my girlfriend goes camping with me when she can and we have no problems sharing the bed. I sleep and wake up more refreshed then I do on my s&b bed.

We put in a king size Sleep Number two nights ago, so the jury is still out. We had added a cool foam gel topper on our interspring and it was better but still bad. I'm 240 and the DW is 120, and likes hers extra firm. I'm a side sleeper and at my weight a good mattress becomes a bad mattress after 2-3 years. Fingers crossed with the dual control sleep number.

We bought this one last year, and love it.

Arctic Dreams 10" Cooling Gel Mattress Made in the USA, Queen Short https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013L4ZYIY..._gVPNybZT4D7CC

We liked it so much we have now replaced our home mattress with a hybrid (top half memory foam, lower half springs).

We recently purchased one from the original mattress factory. They are very comfortable and they make them rv queen size. this is the second camper we purchased the mattress from them. You can try them in the store before you decide which one you want. reversible also.

No one can tell you what is the perfect mattress except you, and your back. We all sleep differently and are shaped differently.

This is the one we ordered. It should be here tomorrow. We will be going out in a couple of weeks. CAN NOT WAIT!
