RV repair in the Dallas area.
I'm in need of having a roof mount AC installed on my coach. It is a 2010 Earthbound Goldenridge. It came with a basement unit from the factory. So this repair facility will need to cut into the roof. I am looking for a reputable installer in the Dallas area. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Before you have someone connected with RVs do the job, I recommend you check with several HVAC folks to see if they would do it. The only thing is they may not want to do the roof. However, if they will do it, it will generally be cheaper and more reliable as that is what they do for a living, not mess with RVs.

I would try the Foretravel plant in Nacadoches. They do superb work and this would be right in line with their experience. Their shop labor rate is $102/hour which is considerably lower than almost anyone else. I shudder to think what kind of work HVAC people would do on the top of your RV, having little or no experience with the precision work required both cosmetically and weatherproof, along with the wind force loads encountered while mounted on the roof beams. They are normally eminently qualified for normal HVAC but I would request testimonials first.

need a good RV repair/installer
Let me clarify... It was suggested by the manufacturer that I have a roof mount 15K AC unit installed since they admit their basement heat pump was insufficient. I am in a suburb north of dallas ...so something within 50 miles or so of dallas would be preferred. They recommended RV World, RV Doctor, Vogt, and United RV.

I know that i wouldn't want to Let C/W be cutting any holes in the roof of my RV from past experience with various of their locations. Did the mfg state where the roof was reinforced for cut out and where/how to get power fed to it?

The manufacturer is working with CW to determine placement and wiring. It will be to their specifications.
