Has anyone had any problems just after purchasing a Salem trailer by Forrest River. I am trying to determine if the problems I am having are isolated or is this a manufacturers defect.

Please reply with any information to hindmans4@yahoo.com

Sorry to hear you're having problems! Most RVs will have some minor problems, that are normal and not usually a big problem. Usually anything major should be referred back to the dealer while the rig is under warranty.

After that...I had an '03 Salem that developed a gas leak. After about three days you really got a bad gas odor. The dealer "pressure tested" the line and found no trouble, but couldn't explain the smell. Needless to say I didn't feel the family was safe and traded the rig in later that year.

What problems are you having?

My Mom has a park model from Forest River and had a few problems, nothing major. DVD player bit the dust, awning had a problem, and a water leak (pipe) in the bath. It is about 8 or9 months old now.
