Screen door bind

Hi all. Me again. Trying to work out all the bugs on our new T/T

Screen door wont close unless you really push on it. Sometimes it pop's back open. Anyone know of any type of adjustments? The hinges are pop riveted on not screwed.
Thanks in advance. (Again)
Mike

You should be able to adjust the plate where the latch is on the frame of the door. Just move it out slightly toward the outside of the trailer. Should just be a couple of screws holding that plate on the frame.

It will latch ok. You have to push hard to get the screen door closed. Once it is latched it is like spring ready launch. Don't be standing in front of it when it opens on it's own.

That sounds right - you need to adjust the strike plate toward the steps outside. It will relieve the pressure and still allow it to close properly. I had the same problem on my new trailer a few months ago.

I had a similar issue and could never get enough at adjustment at the hinges to close freely. I finally determined the problem wasn't with the door as much as with the door sill plate being out of level. I adjusted (read gently hammered) it down and everything was good to go.

Top screen door hinge. Piece of wood on hinge 2 hits (medium) works fine now. Also adjusted screen to open with door.
Thanks all
Mike
