Last "walk around" saved me again yesterday! Got side tracked talking to friend while unhooking water/sewage, walked away, and forgot to unhook power cord! It can happen so easily.

I have pulled away from the house twice with the trailer hooked up and forgot to close the garage door. My neighbor called me the first time and the second time, we were about 10 miles down the road and DW asked me if I closed the garage door. I couldn't remember so I turned around and NOPE, it was still open.

Now it's sort of the running joke, Have you closed the garage door?

A few weeks back we went to the mountains for a few days. I talked to my neighbor about keeping an eye on things for me and I would do the same for him when he went out of town the next week. We were gone for 3 nights and we pulled up to the driveway the garage door was standing wide open...and had been that way for several days. lol Good thing we live out in the country. Now as for my neighbor "watching" the house...

I can tell you the interior is as important as the exterior and here is why. I usually do the walk around outside and make sure doors are latched and nothing is still attached that shouldn't be type thing.

a while ago I went to nashville and drove the 8 hours to my dads house and about 20 mins from his house I heard something fall to the ground. I looked back and saw a box sitting on the floor. Ahh no big deal. ill get it when i get there. get there and realize i had a bottle of grapeseed oil in that box and when it fell over the cap popped off and for the last 20 mins a full bottle of grapeseed oil had been sliding all over my linoleum floor.

A month ago I took my rig to a friends house for an over night stay. I woke up in the morning a bit hung over and eager to get home. I got home and parked and wasn't too concerned about anything as I didn't need the motorhome for a few weeks. so last weekend I went camping at Eldora speedway, about a 3 hour drive. I go to bed the first night and there sitting on the nightstand is a bottle of water. i was like where did that come from and then remember i had it at my friends house. i look and there is no cap on the bottle. some how this bottle of water stayed upright and right where i had placed it. it could have easily tipped over and spilled on the night stand shorting out the electric plugs or fallen on the floor and soaked into the carpet or fallen onto the bed and soaked in to that but it didn't. it stayed right there. im still thanking my stars for that one.
